Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 IT Intern for the Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance Team.

 

This job involves working as an analyst conducting compliance control spot checks, developing cyber awareness culture, and working with our vulnerability management tools to identify and reduce risk to the company.  

 

This position will be Hybrid Flexible.

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

• Review cybersecurity controls effectiveness and assessing compliance with our policy and regulatory needs
• Utilize our vulnerability management tools and improve infrastructure resilience 
• Develop cyber security awareness communications
• Assist in projects and initiatives to maintain a positive cyber safe culture
• Research and track cybersecurity developments and threats
• Engage in team meetings and record key take aways
• Advance in Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Job Specific Qualifications

• The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar area of study and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
• Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
• PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
• Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
• Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
