About the Opportunity
As a Director, HR Business Partner, you will serve as a key strategic link between the Global Customer Office (GCO) organization and the HR function, ensuring that people strategies are aligned with business objectives. You will collaborate with leaders and teams to drive initiatives in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement that enhance operational effectiveness and foster organizational growth.
As a trusted advisor, you will build close relationships grounded in trust, act as a sounding board for leaders, challenge ideas, and influence business decisions. You will also advocate for employees by helping leaders understand how their decisions impact people and culture.
What You’ll Get to Do
• Partner with GCO leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support operational objectives, including productivity, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
• Apply a strong understanding of how GCO functions impact customer satisfaction and client retention by partnering with leaders through the end-to-end process from strategic planning to execution.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to GCO leaders by providing strategic HR guidance on talent management, employee development, organizational design, and employee relations.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify talent needs and partner with Talent Acquisition to design recruitment strategies that attract, hire, and retain top talent while fostering internal mobility.
• Lead initiatives to enhance GCO organizational effectiveness, focusing on performance management and compensation in partnership with Employee Relations and Compensation teams.
• Analyze operational and HR data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and provide actionable recommendations to drive productivity and performance.
• Enhance HR processes and practices by leveraging data and insights to identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork between HR and the business, ensuring strong communication and alignment across departments.
• Work with Talent Management on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessments to support the implementation of Dayforce’s strategic imperatives.
• Partner with Total Rewards to drive compensation and benefits strategies while proactively identifying challenges and opportunities within the GCO organization.
• Lead high-impact HR projects with measurable outcomes, on-time delivery, and strong communication and change management plans.
• Collaborate with regional HRBPs to exchange best practices and ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class HR support.
Skills and Experience We Value
• 12+ years of total HR experience, including at least 7 years in an HR Business Partner role, preferably supporting Global Customer Office, Customer Success, or Services functions.
• Comprehensive understanding of HR management including staffing, employee and labor relations, performance management, and leadership development
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and outcomes.
• Strong business acumen and sound judgment demonstrated through decision-making across HR and business contexts.
• Analytical problem-solver with a creative and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to build trust, deliver difficult messages, and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
• Experienced in coaching, consulting, and facilitation with a collaborative and credible approach.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience leading change initiatives, managing project teams, and driving alignment across functions.
• Previous experience in talent management and succession planning preferred
• Highly self-motivated with strong initiative, urgency, and the ability to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse teams.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
