Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Body Shop Apprentice Intern. The Body Shop Apprentice Intern position a part time position while enrolled in a vocational/trade school collision repair program established to provide the employee on-the-job training and observe the intern’s technical competency, aptitude and work attitude. During the internship, he/she will perform light parts removal and re-installation and paint preparation until the necessary skills are demonstrated. Upon the satisfactory completion of the internship and school program, the intern will be progressed to the next appropriate level of responsibility.
- Performs assigned job functions under close supervision of a Foreman, Leadman, Supervisor or designated competent fellow employee.
- Gains work related knowledge and experience through on-the-job training and formal off-site training while attending school.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools and equipment.
- Abides by all company and school policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications- Standing over 50% of time to perform repair work and complete repair paperwork.
- Lift and carry 75 pounds of parts, tools, supplies and various types of equipment. Maximum lift of 105 pounds of parts, tools or equipment.
- Push/pull wrenches to tighten and loosen bolts, vices, tool chests, ladders up to 75 pounds.
- Kneel, squat and stoop 1/3 of the time to obtain positions to fix machines and equipment.
- Climb up and down stairs and ladders 1/3 of the time to repair and prep equipment.
