This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

   

The network security organization develops next-generation security products that enable efficient global communication. The team is seeking open-minded individuals with a track record of accomplishment and follow-through.  Responsibilities and project areas vary by group.  We recognize that you will bring your own unique skills and interests, and you will be matched to teams and projects accordingly. 

For our software roles, we generally look for at least one of the following：

·       Building (developing & testing) multi-service networking and network security products that are the foundation for the internet and its security.

·        Working on hardware and virtual/containerized systems that secure networks.

·       Resolving internal and external customer issues. 

·       Interfacing with product management team, QA team, platform development team, and other teams responsible for the product development cycle. 

Required background and skills: 

·       8+ years’ experience of Computer Network or Embedded System or OS development

·       Experience of Hardware bring up

·       Experience of HW and SW diagnostic and resiliency

·       Knowledge of AI tools for coding, log analysis, potential SW/HW error prediction

·       Strong programming fundamentals (e.g., C/C++, Python), including the design and implementation of algorithms.

·       Effective verbal and written communication; team player 

·       Ability to come up with creative solutions to challenging problems.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Interests: 

·       Knowledge of AI tools for coding, log analysis, potential SW/HW error prediction

·       Working knowledge of Operating Systems like Unix/Linux.

·       Working knowledge of Embedded System.

·       Working knowledge of Hardware Architecture.

·       Experience leveraging open-source code.

·       Virtual Machine.

·       Familiarity with Routing protocols, Ethernet switching, IP forwarding, Class/Quality of service, Firewall & access control, TCP/IP, UDP
