Job Description Summary

The Sr. Coordinator - HRIS is responsible for the configuration, optimization, and oversight of Workday modules, ensuring their seamless integration and optimal performance. This role blends strategic system design with hands-on execution, managing business process configurations, security settings, data integrity, and recurring system operations. This position collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to refine workflows, resolve complex issues, and lead continuous improvements that support organizational goals and align with Workday best practices.

Job Description

What you will do

HRIS Maintenance - 40%

  • Oversee and optimize specific Workday HR modules to ensure accurate configuration and peak system performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership, business partners, and technical teams to gather and define system requirements; document changes, design, and implement effective solutions.
  • Drive continuous system enhancements by managing Workday updates, upgrades, and feature rollouts to improve user experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday-related issues; troubleshoot problems and collaborate with HRIS Specialists or IT teams on complex cases.
  • Lead the coordination of bi-annual Workday releases, including evaluation of new features, impact analysis, end-to-end testing, and implementation planning.
  • Ensure adherence to data security protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements by performing regular audits and reviews.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, business process workflows, and user-facing materials, such as training guides and manuals.


Reporting - 30%

  • Develop, generate, and distribute a variety of HR-focused reports and dashboards to support strategic, data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance by conducting thorough audits and proactively addressing discrepancies.
  • Serve as a key resource for HR teams by leading ad hoc reporting initiatives and conducting in-depth analysis of HR metrics to support workforce planning and organizational insight.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting objectives, architect automated reporting solutions, and enhance reporting capabilities for long-term efficiency.
  • Partnering closely with IT to enhancement Workday reporting functionalities, to optimize usability and drive operational effectiveness across the organization.


End-User Support & Process Improvement - 20%

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries, offering guidance and technical support to end users.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues and ensure timely resolution by following established escalation protocols and collaborating with appropriate teams.
  • Deliver training and support to HR and business unit users on Workday functionality, business processes, and reporting tools to maximize adoption and effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and contribute to Workday optimization initiatives that enhance user experience and productivity.


Backup Support for HRIS Specialist - 10%

  • Contribute to complex system configurations, testing, and security updates to ensure seamless functionality, data integrity, and protection.
  • Play an active role in reviewing and validating system changes, providing critical oversight to ensure quality and compliance with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional business units to lead or support HRIS integration projects, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Information Technology, Information Systems or related discipline. and 5 years Professional level Information systems experience. or
  • High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years Professional level Information systems experience.


Experience Qualifications

  • Experience with configuring and maintaining HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
  • Proficiency in creating and analyzing HR Reports
  • Experience supporting system testing, upgrades, and release cycles.
  • Understanding of HR business processes, compliance requirements, and data privacy standards.


Preferred Education

  • Master's Degree Human Resources, Information Technology, Information Systems or related discipline.


Preferred Experience

  • Advanced Workday Knowledge - Experience with additional modules such as Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, or Time Tracking.
  • Experience leading HRIS enha
