Job Description

The Communications Strategy Senior Manager (Hybrid) role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Own creation, implementation, and development of communications programs.
  • Set team objectives for writing, preparation, and /or review of articles to be used in company publications.
  • Collaborate with different business units and program/product teams to develop communications strategy.
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and development of Executive communications programs.
  • Management of various elements of Fannie Mae’s Executive Visibility support model, ensuring deadlines are met and updates are shared regularly.
  • Drive team collaboration and culture in working with several internal teams and stakeholders to create and achieve desired outcomes for the Executive Visibility team.
  • Develop and leverage strategic approaches to identify efficiencies, provide better ways of working, and increase collaboration.
  • Stay informed on new communications channels and approaches to drive Fannie Mae’s thought leadership and awareness.
  • Create high-quality, compelling written communications for senior leaders at Fannie Mae, including members of the Management Committee and other senior executives.
  • Support the Head of Executive Visibility to ensure quality and consistent style across all communications.
  • Drive collaboration with members of the Marketing & Communications team, senior executives, business partners and SMEs, and Front Offices/Chief of Staffs.
  • Consistent and ongoing review of process and approaches to drive proactive recommendations and strategic thinking across the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 6 years

 

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience supporting senior leaders at other companies, NGOs, or governmental organizations.
  • Project management experience and/or skills to manage several initiatives concurrently that drive impact and outcomes across the organization.

Skills

  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Sales, Marketing, and PR including marketing products, social media marketing, creating collateral, planning and developing campaigns, managing the media, etc.
  • Skilled in the end-to-end organization and management of small to large scale events including: budgeting, timelines, reservations, food, and transportation
  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring
