Scope:

 

Responsible for Facility and equipment maintenance, Communication with outside vendors and internal departments. Ability to Trouble shoot equipment in a safe manner. Experience with automated equipment preferred

 

Job Summary:

 

Ability to troubleshoot and repair various Automation, assembly machines and Facility support equipment. Assist shift assembly employees when requested.  Perform preventative and predictive maintenance. Working environments- clean room, interior facilities and exterior facilities.

  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance.  

  • Manages Preventative Maintenance program on equipment independently.

  • Assist shift assembly employees as needed to ensure production requirements are met. 

  • Assist with the performance of machine/associated equipment changeovers.

  • Responsible for generating and/or improving maintenance PM programs as well as identifying potential equipment problems and initiating improvement projects.

  • Performs troubleshooting and repair of all production equipment such as Automation, equipment Sealers, Presses and support equipment.

  • Develop and manage a spare parts inventory program.

  • Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management. 

  • As business needs dictate, work extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Systems: Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electric, Mechanical, Controls/Automation

  • Must be able to read schematics, isolate equipment issues, remove/replace failed machine components and determine failure modes by referencing procedures and machine manuals.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment.

  • Must be able to work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.

  • Demonstrates adaptability by reacting appropriately to unexpected changes in situations or circumstances.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with vendors/suppliers.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills

  • Must be able to maintain accurate documentation.

  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work. 

  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

  • Must be able to adhere to all safety standards set forth in the facility.

  • Provide own basic tool set.

  • Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
  • Indoor and outdoor facilities support 

 

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
