SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)

As a global supplier to the semiconductor industry, we provide advanced copper interconnects, die attachment, wafer bump processes, solder technologies, fluxes, cleaners, and other attachment materials for the integrated circuit fabrication, semiconductor packaging, and electronic assembly industries. Our products touch nearly every facet of modern life and enable smart devices, phones, computers, electric vehicles, and more to function properly. SAS consists of three distinct business units (Circuit Board Assembly, Semiconductor Assembly, and Wafer Level Packaging) which are positioned to meet our customers’ everchanging needs. Job Purpose

The Global HR Business Partner will support one of our largest business units by serving as a trusted advisor to our VP – Supply Chain – SAS. In addition to full site HR responsibility for our Itasca, IL manufacturing facility, the Global HRBP will partner with supply chain leaders globally to ensure alignment and execution of a unified HR program. As a strategic partner, this role supports developing organization and talent strategies and leading the change management initiatives needed to enable those strategies. The HRBP also executes on several operational HR tasks, ensuring enablement of our business teams and leaders. This HR Business Partner role sits in Itasca, IL, with occasional travel to our SAS supply chain facilities globally.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with the SAS Supply Chain VP, and assigned site leadership teams to align current and future business needs with the HR strategy and ensure alignment to the overall company strategy, culture and values
  • Serve as a member of the global SAS Supply Chain leadership team – enabling execution on strategic projects and breakthroughs
  • Develop, communicate, and own specific KPIs for the people function related to the SAS Supply Chain globally
  • Partner in implementing organizational talent planning and relevant talent acquisition and development strategies
  • Ensure proper rollout of HR processes within the assigned sites and employee groups (systems, performance reviews, engagement, etc.)
  • Support performance management of staff and manage employee relations as necessary (Continuous Performance Management, PIPs, Coaching)
  • Identify people or capabilities gaps (e.g. performance, talent, compensation) and develop targeted solutions for the assigned employee groups
  • Integrate and partner with global and local HR colleagues in the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation COEs to implement solutions and help to scale the business
  • Proactively assess team, manager, organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions within the assigned sites employee groups
  • Assist employees as needed locally at the Itasca facility
  • Act as a change agent and culture carrier for the business, willing to make continuous improvements and strive for positive change in partnership with the business leadership teams

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of HR Business Partner or HR Manager experience within a manufacturing or other industrial environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills including strong executive presence and the ability to understand the needs of the business and how HR enables success
  • Possesses well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills  (written, spoken, etc.)
  • Passion to empower team members through training and effectively partner with leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated and able to work
