This role requires travel throughout the state of Indiana.

As the Occupational Therapist with our Zero to Three initiative you will:

• Conduct Comprehensive Sensory Assessments by evaluating sensory processing challenges in infants and toddlers using standardized tools, clinical observations, and caregiver input to assess a child’s sensory profile and impact on development.
• Develop and Implement Sensory Intervention Plans by creating individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s sensory needs, focusing on helping children improve sensory regulation, motor skills, and adaptive functioning.
• Provide Therapeutic Interventions by using play-based and sensory integration techniques, such as activities targeting vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile input, to address sensory modulation and integration issues.
• Family and Caregiver Education by offering guidance and education to families on how to manage their child’s sensory needs at home, creating sensory diets and routines that support regulation and developmental milestones.
• Monitor and Document Progress by keeping accurate and detailed records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Support with Feeding and Sensory Issues by addressing feeding challenges that may stem from sensory aversions or difficulties with textures, helping families introduce new sensory experiences through therapeutic techniques.
• Provide Transition Support by assisting families in managing developmental transitions, such as preparing for preschool or addressing changes in sensory needs due to growth or environmental shifts.
• On-call duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field, with specialized training in sensory integration.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist or related profession.
• Three (3) years of experience working with infants and toddlers with a strong focus on sensory processing disorders and early childhood development.
• Proficiency in sensory integration techniques, with a deep understanding of sensory processing disorders and their impact on motor development, behavior, and daily functioning in young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams, as well as strong organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and treatment plans.
