Marketing Communications Summer Intern
Girl Scouts of Northern New JerseyAbout the role
Description
The Girl Scout mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Behind every Girl Scout and volunteer is a team of local staff ready to help them earn that next badge, embark on a camping adventure, or organize an impactful service project.
We are Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) serving girls in grades K-12 in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and northern Warren counties. We bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to 18,000 girls and 10,000 adult members.
We are looking for a Marketing Communications intern to join our team this summer.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Communications Summer Intern will help us tell the story of what’s happening at Girl Scouts and at our Camps to inspire interest in the organization. The intern will take and edit photos and video clips to create fun and engaging content for use in our social media, website, and email marketing. We are looking for creativity to help identify the moments and experiences that will highlight “a day in the life” of a Camper and/or Girl Scout.
Applicant will work with the Marketing & Communications team to produce printed, website, and social media materials, while following Girl Scout brand guidelines. It is preferred that the candidate owns their own DSLR camera and equipment, MAC laptop, and editing software, or can take photos and video clips using ours.
