Desktop and Virtualization Engineer

<p>We are looking for a virtualization engineer with some experience in Windows technologies and solutions. The candidate should have a good technical background in virtualization technologies to provide support and deliver project work prioritized by the product owner.<br/></p><p>You will have the opportunity to work on latest technologies for regional projects with a good level of autonomy in order to propose and innovate to achieve the right value for our users. You will be exposed to a rich multi-cultural environment and be able to develop and learn latest methodology to improve productivity. You will be in a team composed of strong expert that will help you to growth in the various technologies through coaching and training.</p><p>The candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of ITIL practices, be familiar with change/incident management processes and Agile methodology including planning, stakeholder management and communications.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Support production platforms across all products under the department’s responsibility (include Support, Weekend operation)</li> <li>3rd Level support for desktop, virtualization, and ecosystem services in Asiapac</li> <li>Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop VDI</li> <li>Servers in Public (Azure) and Private cloud</li> <li>Desktop engineering</li> <li>OS imaging service (desktop master)</li> <li>SCCM</li> <li>Intune</li> <li>Symantec Endpoint Protection</li> <li>Printing service</li> <li>Office 365 services</li> <li>Identity management</li> <li>cripting</li> <li>Operational tasks such as upgrades and maintenance for desktop services in Asiapac</li> <li>Manage/Support projects from planning and stakeholder management through to execution and communication for new initiatives desktop &amp; ecosystem services in Asiapac.</li> <li>Design, test and implement news solutions for product under its direct responsibility</li> <li>Work in close relationship with other IT teams to ensure client requirement and expectation are mutually agreed</li> <li>Deliver continuous improvement of the products under its direct responsibility (efficiency, new features, self-service etc.)</li> <li>Monitor all technical platforms, for quality and continual service provisioning, including tracking and alerting </li> <li>Create and maintain technical documentations as well as provide regular training to desktop support teams</li> <li>As a member of team within an Agile framework, it is expected from the candidate to have a strong willingness to learn about new technologies, new way of working and share his own experience/knowledge as required by the team to deliver the product in a self-managed environment.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><br/></p><p></p><ul> <li>College degree such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support on below main technologies and expertise on below:</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience on virtualization technologies</li> <li>Experience with an Agile framework employing SCRUM methodology would be a plus</li> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Operation Skills:</strong></p><ul> <li>Virtualization Engineering</li> <li>VMware vSphere/ESX</li> <li>Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop</li> <li>Windows server/client basic support</li> <li>Windows related technologies (DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTFS)</li> <li>Scripting skills such as DOS, VBS, PowerShell</li> <li>Management of cloud environments (Azure).</li> <li>Able to demonstrate technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong written and oral communication skills a must; can present formally or informally</li> <li>Not afraid to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments from the teams</li> <li>Has a passion to share knowledge amongst the community. </li> <li>Ability to work in a multicultural environment </li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate well in a team environment.</li> </ul><p>Optional but will be a plus:</p><ul> <li>Knowledge of Ivanti User Workspace Management</li> <li>Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler ADC</li> <li>Knowledge of Nutanix</li> <li>Knowledge of SCCM client/server administration and software packaging</li> <li>Knowledge of Intune administration.</li> <li>Web server technology (IIS) and SQL queries</li> <li>ITIL foundation knowledge</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Regular team buildings</li> <li>18 leave days / Year</li> <li>Health Insurance</li> <li>Annual bonus</li> <li>Working hours: from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday</li> <li>E-learning and certifications paths</li> </ul>
