Senior Accountant
As Senior Accountant at MKS Inc., you will expect to be involved in a variety of interesting, challenging and diverse projects. That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.
In this role, you will report to the Sr Accounting Manager.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts
- Elaborates and controls the flow of accounting documents in the company so that all documents are recorded for the current month and kept properly.
- Analyze, review and correct (if the case) the accounting records (invoices, receipts, and payments), monthly trial balances transactions recorded by Junior accountants to ensure they are registered appropriately.
- Preparation of the mandatory accounting and fiscal registers
- Ensuring payroll is processed with speed and accuracy
- Verifying compliance with statutory payroll requirements
- Preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns and tax forms
- Assisting with Budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Point of contact for auditors requests and fiscal authorities
Required Skills:
- University Degree in Accounting & Finance and at least 4 years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
- Strong computer skills, SAP, MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Romanian and English
- Ability to prioritize work and meet the deadlines
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an execution focus.
- CECCAR/CF/ACCA/CPA would be a plus
