What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Sterilizing Medical Instruments: Safely and effectively clean, disinfect, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment. 

  • Preparing for Procedures: Assemble and package supplies for surgeries, ensuring everything is ready and sterile for use. 

  • Monitoring Processes: Document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with infection control standards. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the surgical team to ensure that instruments are available and ready for use when needed. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing learning and process improvements to enhance our department’s operations.

  • Preferred Experience: While we are happy to train the right candidate, experience in sterilization, or roles like dental assisting, veterinary technology, or other related fields, is a plus. 

 

Certification: 

  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification is required within 2 years of hire.
