Pharmacy Technician - Pyxis Administrator 

SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE, averaging 40 hours per week. 8-hour shifts, DAYS. Start time is typically around 6:00am PST, but can change. 

*This role will require travel to ALL Swedish facilities, as support is needed. While some remote flexibility may be provided, the majority of this role will be expected to work on Swedish sites.

This position is responsible for supporting the practice of pharmacy, performing delegated tasks, and performing drug distribution, compounding, record keeping, and clerical activities under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

• Fundamental understanding and prior experience of Pyxis-Medstations, PAS, CII Safe and Pyxis training
• Prior experience with Pyxis Management
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Effective time management skills

• Experience with or ability to learn Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Sharepoint
• Ability to flex schedule depending on projects
• Willingness and ability to travel to other campuses

• Learns and grasps new concepts quickly

Job Tasks

• Participation in Regional and Local Meetings as needed
• Collaboration with other departments and areas such as Nursing, Purchasing and Local Operations
• Partnership with Pharmacy Leads, Supervisors and Managers
• Travel to all campuses as needed
• Install of new Pyxis equipment
• Preventative Maintenance of Pyxis equipment
• Perform quality assurance tasks on Pyxis equipment
• Training validation of new Pharmacy staff
• Advanced troubleshooting
• Manage par levels in Pyxis
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required qualifications:

• Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program.
• Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred qualifications:

• 6 months of Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
