In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the terminal operates in full compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and site-specific permits. You will act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and customers on environmental matters, overseeing critical compliance functions such as permitting, reporting, incident notification, and the management of key environmental programs. Your work will be central to maintaining high environmental standards, supporting audits and inspections, and helping the business proactively manage environmental risks.

Stolthaven Terminals, a division of Stolt Nielsen Limited (SNL), is the specialist storage provider of bulk liquids. Chemicals, clean petroleum, gases, vegetable oils, biofuels, and oleochemicals. Our mission is to be the most respected global storage provider, delivering safe, high-quality, sustainable storage and handling solutions for our customers around the world.

What you will be doing

In addition, you will engage with government regulators, consultants, industry peers, and customers, representing the company in inspections, audits, and customer meetings, and serving as the subject matter expert on environmental issues. You will stay current with evolving environmental regulations by attending conferences, seminars, and courses, and by reviewing relevant publications, bringing back insights that support continuous improvement of the terminal’s environmental performance. Your work environment will blend office-based analytical and reporting tasks with close collaboration with terminal operations, using various environmental software tools and release models to support robust environmental stewardship.
