The North Face: Associate Copywriter

OVERVIEW

The North Face is seeking an Associate Copywriter with a self-starter mindset and a connection to the outdoors. Someone who is eager to think big, work hard and support a fast-moving team in developing compelling, brand-right copy across all consumer touchpoints. The ideal candidate is curious, imaginative and driven to grow within a complex environment. In addition to being adept at the basics (spelling, grammar, etc.), they should be a creative problem-solver with the curiosity to explore beyond the status quo. Above all, they should be passionate about the craft of writing and ready to take their talent to the next level.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driven by our Brand Voice guidelines and Brand Strategy, write and develop copy across a range of platforms and channels. Work across departments to tailor messaging that connects with consumers and drives conversion.
• Support senior copywriters with conceptual projects and pitch in when needed across the brand creative ecosystem.
• Review, proofread and edit work with a sharp grammatical eye and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with designers, art directors and creative team members to craft storytelling that articulates our Brand Voice.
• Manage projects with minimal supervision and ensure requests are effectively prioritized.
• Communicate with project managers, team members and leaders clearly and effectively to share work, meet deadlines and keep others informed of progress.

SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree / 1 – 3 years of experience
• Self-driven, detail-obsessed and team-oriented creative writer
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and looks at challenge as opportunity
• Familiarity with emerging trends across the outdoor industry
• Positive and collaborative problem-solver who proactively pursues solutions
• Accountable for meeting goals while adapting to unforeseen obstacles

Hiring Range:

$62,208.00 USD - $77,760.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
