This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for an Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and review general ledger journal entries and reconciliations.
Lead all aspects of and run the operations of accounting and maintenance of the general ledger.
Coordinate with management and across Finance organization to ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial close.
Review general ledger account reconciliations prepared by others to ensure that they are prepared accurately and research unusual items.
Provide review of monthly balance sheet and income statement for completeness and accuracy and investigate variances.
Maintain accounting procedures; ensure adherence to accounting policies and US GAAP; and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls.
Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
Develop expertise with corporate enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
Work closely with internal and external auditors on financial audits and SOX internal controls testing.
Lead, direct and develop an accounting staff of 3-4 accountants/analysts; including hiring, performance management, development, and training staff in all departmental processes and procedures to ensure employees meet goals and expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required
4-6 years of validated experience in general accounting
Prior management or leadership experience preferred
Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Experience with SAP or comparable ERP system
Outstanding digital literacy; expert
