**Monday through Friday. No weekends, no evenings, no call, no holidays!**

This position works in our office in New Hyde Park and Bethpage locations.

· Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance

· Record the patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate)

· Collect patient’s health information

· Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians

· Give oral medications and injections to patients (in permitted states)

· Test a patient’s blood sugar levels/INR/UA, when applicable

· Urinary catheter insertion and care

· Bladder scanning when needed

· Monitor for changes in patient Vital signs

· Review patient charts for presurgical testing results and medical/cardiac clearances

· Perform Per-op calls the day before the procedure to review instructions and time of arrival

· Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patient’s medical records in Allscripts EMR

· Conduct Post-op calls 24 hours post procedure

· Conduct monthly Crash cart checks if needed

· Monitor Narcotic counts with another Licensed professional

Requirements

· High School graduate or equivalent
· Current RN License
· Continuing Education
· BCLS/ACLS
· Annual Required in-services and training.
· ICU and or PACU experience.
· Infection control certificate
· PPD Annual Test
