About the role

<p>We are looking for experienced Financial Crime professional to join our team and take role in implementing and overseeing Sanctions and Screening controls. This position can be located in either Warsaw or Vilnius.</p> <p><br/><strong>Work in an inspiring environment that supports your growth</strong></p> <p>You will be a key member of the team working with many areas within the bank to ensure controls are in place and performing optimally to manage Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and Adverse Media (AMS) Risk to the bank.</p> <p>The team consists of subject matter experts from various backgrounds across Financial Crime including compliance, consulting and operational who actively share knowledge to support growth and holistic control development. The team is open minded and supportive, each voice is valued, and collaboration is encouraged.</p> <p>Depending on your knowledge and experience we can offer different seniority roles.</p> <p>The role will allow you to take responsibility for key controls and help shape the future of how we detect and manage key Financial Crime risks within the bank. We expect an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to take on the following responsibilities: </p> <ul> <li>Defining requirements for the design and transformation of screening controls to identify Sanction, PEP and AMS risk within the bank;</li> <li>Leading control design and function, working to define and implement initiatives;</li> <li>Acting as a representative of Risk in supporting risk conscious design and deciding on the best course of action;</li> <li>Analysing and challenging control design and function, to identify concern and define appropriate mitigants;</li> <li>Supporting risk awareness through clear articulation of risk, using written and verbal presentations.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You are a risk expert with collaborative mindset</strong></p> <p>To succeed in this role, we expect you to have a good sense of responsibility, willing to take ownership for outcomes and results of your work. You should be open to providing support to other team members, to enable growth and expand knowledge while adhering to established rules and standards.</p> <p>We expect you to have the following experiences and skills to thrive in this role:</p> <ul> <li>+8 years experience in Sanctions and Screening (including an understanding of how screening engines operate and are tested);</li> <li>A clear understanding of Sanctions risk and why banks need to undertake screening of customers and transactions</li> <li>Understanding of data and issues impacting screening configuration;</li> <li>Awareness of operational functions, including alert review</li> <li>A proven history of identifying, researching and delivering solutions to address challenges;</li> <li>Ability to critically assess events and identify materiality of risk with support of others;</li> <li>Ease in cutting through complexity and delivering clear and pragmatic ways forward;</li> <li>Advanced communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with ability to present to senior leadership and during committees.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>We offer</strong></p> <p>This position can be located both in Poland and Lithuania. If the position is located in Lithuania, the monthly salary range will be from 3360 EUR to 5040 EUR gross (based on your competencies and experience relevant to the job profile).</p> <p>Your title in job contract will be Officer - Business Risk &amp; Controls, Senior.</p> <p>We care about well-being, as well as keeping up the team spirit and creating a positive, nurturing atmosphere in the office.
