Position Overview: The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our warehouse. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily activities, coordinating with the Warehouse Manager, and ensuring that materials, tools, and equipment are accurately received, stored, and prepared for job sites. The Warehouse Lead will also assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while supporting and guiding warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

• Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, condition, and documentation.
• Coordinate staging and preparation of materials for delivery to job sites.
• Proper receiving and auditing of materials in CRM, accounting and inventory systems.

Team Leadership:

• Act as the primary point of contact for warehouse staff during shifts.
• Train, mentor, and guide team members to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback to the Warehouse Manager.

Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring materials are properly stored and organized.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to order supplies as needed.

Safety and Maintenance:

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including proper disposal of waste.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager, installation teams, and vendors to meet operational needs.
• Assist with special projects or tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer applications.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
