You will play a major part in building AI and Machine Learning (ML) solutions that transform the user experience and workflow efficiency of enterprise services. Data is quickly turning into the most precious business asset for AI.

The AI Data Steward will focus on the full data lifecycle of turning data into an actionable, compliant and secure asset our AI data scientist can leverage. You will be defining data frameworks, implementing governance standards and policies, and contributing to all aspects of data operations & governance. Success in the role requires a combination of experience defining data processes, providing governance along with hands on experience in resolving data issues, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance. You have the ability to influence and establish data governance across multiple teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams on all matters related to data.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as Go-to expert for the AI product, engineering and data science teams with anything in the realm of use, handling and governance of data for the use in AI.
  • Establish and refine E2E data lifecycle process allowing a compliant use of data assets within define policies and standards
  • Responsible for confirming the safe, compliant, accurate, and controlled sourcing, transport, transformation, and storage of data
  • Provide governance and oversight to the compliant use of data assets across the data lifecycle for AI use cases and products
  • Manage AI data access request and approve data usage by use case so other teams can perform their respective job functions
  • Act as liaison to ServiceNow’s data governance team and represent the AI team in committees and contribute to the definition of company-wide processes and policies impacting AI.
  • Create reports to ServiceNow’s leadership teams on the use of data assets across the AI product portfolio. [AS2] [AS3]

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • BS/ MS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related experience[AS4]
  • 3+ yrs of experience with data architecture, data governance, data management and/or data stewardship disciplines.
  • 3+ yrs of experience developing standards, policies, collecting and organizing data for very significant organizational initiatives.
  • Experience in regulatory and data compliant environments
  • Experience managing upstream & downstream data consumption needs required for an application
  • Possess uncompromising ethics, unwavering integrity and understanding of risk & regulatory process, as well as outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills - must have ability to synthesize, develop and present clear and concise recommendations

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $133,300 - $226,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual
