Purpose/Introduction

The basic function of this role is to develop, communicate and maintain a workable schedule according to work requirements provided by operations and maintenance resource availability. In some instances, this position may also be responsible for working with site management in driving organization structure (headcount) based on historical trends and manpower forecast.

Responsibilities (continued)

  • Provides support to ensure maintenance activities are done in a safe and incident free manner, meeting all Process Safety Management and Health, Safety, & Environmental requirements.
  • Ensures maintenance efforts focus on quality repairs and improved plant reliability
  • Plans and coordinates work via Operations Maintenance Workflow Process (OMWP)
  • Integrates reliability strategies into maintenance work processes 
  • Proactively works with peers to improve maintenance efforts
  • Identify and implement methods to improve maintenance productivity and effectiveness
  • Effectively coordinate/facilitate group meetings to meet goals and objectives
  • Reviews work order details and user statuses
  • Reviews job plans associated with TPSV (Third-Party services) and contacts the service contractor for scheduling purposes
  • Facilitates daily scheduling update meeting
  • Coordinates with Craft foremen to update and maintain resource capacities in SAP to ensure accurate manpower utilization for upcoming schedule

Responsibilities (continued)

  • Align with operations, maintenance, and technical representatives to ensure all necessary steps are included in maintenance package
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Specialist and Operations Maintenance Coordinator to develop weekly schedule and optimizes the use of site wide available resources based on negotiated production unit priorities and current business environment
  • Publishes and updates daily and weekly schedules to affected work groups
  • Revises schedule and communicates to the Maintenance Specialist and Maintenance Supervisor the resources necessary to accommodate Break-in (Emergency/High priority) or available resources
  • Provides reports on resource utilization and recommends any staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecast

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • At least 10 years chemical and/or petrochemical plant maintenance or project-related experience. 
  • At least 10 years of planning and/or scheduling experience 
  • Experience coordinating/executing maintenance job plans/schedules in the field
  • Working knowledge of Prometheus and Graphical Work Order Scheduling (GWOS) scheduling
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to and work with personnel across the organization
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and administrative skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, equipment drawings, and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Three years of experience using Prometheus/P6 scheduling tools.
  • Working knowledge of various craft disciplines and tools
  • Understanding of cost control and scheduling terminology and techniques
