Sandvik SRL is currently looking for highly motivated and talented professionals to join our Finance team in the position of Senior Accountant
Based in Romania, Bucharest, as a Senior Accountant you are accountable for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations (including general accounting, revenue accounting, accounts receivable and payable) using financial systems and other select finance-related administration in accordance with local and group accounting principles. Your jobs duties include timely reconciliations, financial analyses and participations in the preparation of local and group financial reports. Moreover, you will be the primary contact for internal staff on invoicing, bill, payments, revenue, and budgets matters.
You report directly to the Chief Accounting Manager and reside in Sandvik office in Bucharest.
Key Responsibilities:
Record primary and secondary accounting documents daily, in accordance with Romanian legislation and corporate standards.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of daily accounting transactions, including proper classification of general ledger accounts and cost centers.
Collect and organize supporting documentation for all processed entries.
Apply accounting expertise to identify and communicate issues proactively.
Manage general ledger accounts and ensure timely reconciliations including suppliers and clients.
Maintain communication with clients and assist in resolving outstanding issues.
Monitor monthly stock levels, inventory items, and fixed assets.
Actively participate in the annual inventory of fixed assets and inventory items.
Carry out additional tasks assigned by management related to the role.
Assist the Chief Accountant in preparing internal and external financial reports.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including transaction finalization, reconciliations (including intercompany), and analytical reviews.
Provide accounting support to other departments as needed.
Contribute to cost analysis and support budget and forecast preparation.
Ensure all activities align with company values, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting, or related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational company.
English (spoken and written) at least intermediate level.
Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial software ( e.g. iScala, SAP and other ERP).
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (i.e.,Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with expertise in Excel required
Excellent understanding of the GAAP, IFRS and tax reporting principles
Sense of organization and respect for deadlines.
