Job Description

Role Summary & Responsibilities:

The NBCU News Group at NBCUniversal is looking for VP, Organizational Development to lead, develop and manage HR programs and engagement initiatives that help shape and influence the NBCU News Group culture.  

This position reports directly to the EVP, Global Human Resources News Group and works closely with HR Business Partners and operating leaders within the NBCU News Group by defining, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies and programs to enhance the employee experience and elevate our talent to drive business goals and priorities forward.  Key programs and areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to:

Role Summary & Responsibilities,

• Manage a team of three to organize and steer key HR and talent development initiatives, including performance management, engagement surveys and reporting, succession planning, mental health and wellness programming, pipeline program management, growth and development initiatives, rewards & recognition, and organizational effectiveness
• Utilize workforce analytics and engagement survey data to identify trends and opportunities, develop programming and initiatives to address and measure achievement of established goals
• Empower employees, managers, and leaders to feel ownership of their professional and personal growth through impactful programming, such as the News Group mentorship program, exchange program, speaker series and ready to use toolkits and resources
• Collaborate with the NBCUniversal internal corporate university, the Talent Lab and broader OD community.  Build on enterprise offerings to provide tailored approaches for the business that promotes a learning culture, including design and delivery of a suite of learning programs, vendor management, and resources
• Partner closely with News Group Internal Communications, DEI and Talent Acquisition teams on development and executive of employee growth, connection, wellness and retention initiatives
• Support talent planning efforts by facilitating calibration discussions, capturing themes, and ensuring the talent review process is ''operationalized'' and integrated into other talent-related activities.
• Develop and facilitate internal leadership training and manage external executive coaching engagements
• Partner with EVP HR on all cross News Group brands’ workforce programming, initiatives and priorities.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 10 + years’ experience, in Human Resources/ Organization Effectiveness Consulting / Learning / Coaching
• Experience as a Human Resources or OD professional within a large, complex organization is required

• Master’s degree preferred
• International experience is a plus
• Strong project management and facilitation skills
• Strong communication skills; prioritizes discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong analytic skills with a particular focus on examining trends in workforce analytics.
• Experience as a leader having had past oversight of direct reports and firsthand understanding of P&L responsibility highly desired
