Summary
This position is responsible for directly supervising hourly trainers and providing additional coverage for other supervisors. This role will carry out operational duties according to Tyson policies and procedures. May oversee a team of up to 15-20 individuals.
Qualifications
- The applicant must have at least six (6) months of continuous work history with a single employer in the last twelve (12) months.
- Must be comfortable with computer applications.
- Experience in JDA/Blue Yonder, PUTTY, WMS, Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) highly preferred.
- High school diploma and secondary degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of warehousing experience preferred.
- Cold storage warehousing experience preferred.
- Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
- May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
- May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.
- Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the team of hourly trainers and meet with them weekly.
- Maintain training records in sharepoint and POKA.
- Provide coverage for other supervisors and other shifts as needed.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment for your team.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll for your team every week. Time approval should be completed by Sunday each week for the previous week.
- During your work shift, which will consist of generally (13) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
- As part of efficiently completing job tasks, a laptop computer will be provided to complete audits, research, and assist with inventory discrepancies.
- Develop and mentor direct reports and support partner supervisor in meeting shift and operational needs.
- Partner with inventory team to resolve and reduce overall inventory errors.
- Hold team members accountable to performance opportunities.
- Manage the workflow of the day-to-day operation.
- Regularly pull reports and communicate complex ideas.
- Lead meetings and hold regular feedback sessions.
- Resolve issues with drivers and support the guard shack in maintaining a secure facility.
- At certain times, other job duties may be part of the routine.
- Follow all Tyson Policies & Safety Guidelines.
- Ensure safety processes are being followed consistently promoting a safe work environment and performing other responsibilities as needed.
- Other duties include ensuring that all product quality, authenticity and legality procedures are followed, and annual Food Defense Training is completed.
- May be required to learn and teach team members how to use the shag trucks.
- May be required to work other shifts as needed.
Environment
- Team members will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)
- You will be provided with a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE) upon request.
- Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)
- Team members will be driving stand-up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks. May be trained on Cherry picker for additional tasks.
