Parkwood Healthcare Community is recruiting for a hospitality focused PRN OT to join our team!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a OT:
- Provides or makes provision for client care in compliance with the American Occupational Therapy Association, physicians’ orders, and Clinical Pathways as they become available.
- Ensures quality and safe delivery of therapy services to clients and training for families/caregivers.
- Assesses and evaluates client’s status by reviewing and implementing the plan of care, regularly re-evaluating client needs revising the plan of care as necessary.
- Initiates and applies appropriate preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and techniques and maintains communication regarding client care with the physician and supervisory personnel.
- Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Is a graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Is registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Has at least two years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist. SNF/home care experience is preferred.
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
- Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health & has presented a pre-employment screening.
- Has excellent observation, good clinical judgment, and good oral and written communication skills.
- Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision; has good organizational skills.
- Has satisfactory references from Occupational therapy school, previous (or current) employers and/or professional peers.
- Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation.
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
