The position will end on or before June 30, 2026. Permanent status cannot be earned in this grant-funded position. This Temporary appointment can be concluded before the stated temporary appointment end date, normally with a two-week notice period. Continuation of this temporary appointment is contingent upon grant funding

Anticipated Hiring Range

$6,771.00 - $7,839.00 per month/$81,252.00 - $94,068.00 annually (1.0 FTE)

$1,693.00 - $1,960.00 per month/$20,316.00 - $23,526.00 annually (0.25 FTE)

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Position Summary

The Department of Child & Adolescent Development is within the college of Health and Social Sciences. The Administrative Analyst will report to the PI, Dr. Linda M. Platas, of the Recruiting and Retaining a Diverse Early Education Workforce grant. The Administrative Analyst will set up and maintain systems and procedures for: applications; stipend disbursement; grant reporting; tracking and reporting outreach; recruitment efforts; and program evaluation.

Position Information

Administration, Recruitment, & Admissions

  • Co-lead, plan and implement meetings and events for all key program personnel, applicants, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development and design of recruitment materials and procedures for admissions to the ECE REWARD program (e.g., website, flyers, email campaigns, social media posts)
  • Develop presentations and workshops that effectively communicate about the ECE REWARD program and share at community and stakeholder meetings and events
  • Develop case management and application procedures while crafting ECE REWARD policies to address complex issues
  • Oversee the disbursement process of student stipends for the grant
  • Serve as the primary administrative contact for the program
  • Use data to identify priorities and challenges for the program and students
  • Independently determine innovative strategies for the ECE REWARD program, leveraging creativity to address challenges in recruiting and retaining the early childhood workforce at SFSU while ensuring alignment with program goals
  • Oversee data collection and tracking for events, stakeholder meetings, outreach activities, applications, advising, awards, and input and feedback from ECE professionals
  • Work with PI on all aspects related to the administration of the ECE REWARD program

Evaluation & Reporting 

  • Create and conduct program evaluation
  • Report data, analysis, evaluation, and recommended policies, from a strategic and operational perspective,
