Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Officer - Retail Site in Tracy, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer at a leading retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication to those on site. This is a driving position, so you will be responsible for moving throughout the property in a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for disturbances or unusual activity, reporting observations according to established protocols.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management regarding incidents or site concerns.
• Support retail operations by remaining alert to potential issues and assisting with security-related functions as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• This position primarily involves driving and is preferred for candidates seeking a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
