Job Description Summary

The Coordinator provides administrative support for the launch and ongoing operations of Penn’s new Master of Applied Economics and Data Science (MAEDS) program. The position provides support for the MAEDS Faculty Director and Executive Director, helps with student support, and acts as liaison between program leadership, students, faculty, business office, and other university areas. Duties include but are not limited to: coordination and communication with Penn staff, Economics faculty, and students; data collection; scheduling; purchasing, event planning assistance; maintenance of social media accounts; and assistance with student recruitment.

Duties/Job Responsibilities:

The Administrative Coordinator position supports all aspects of the MAEDS, including program support, student support, and faculty support.

Program support includes assisting with managing course descriptions and rostering; scheduling student appointments with the Executive Director; coordinating and compiling data for annual reports; managing purchases and tracking budgets; conducting competitor scans; assisting with program event planning and delivery; organizing materials and logistics for information sessions and other recruitment activities; and assisting with alumni relations.
