This position is responsible for critical incidents and to receive, process, coordinate, and disseminate emergency and non-emergency incidents and related information from multiple sources statewide in support of the Enforcement and Compliance Bureau, Office of Inspector General, Attorney General's Office, Arizona Department of Agriculture, and the Livestock Division using a multi-line telephone system, two-way radio, statewide port of entry cameras and a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System as part of a interfaced operational program. Dispatchers conduct research, enters, updates and retrieves information from computerized databases relating to wanted persons, stolen property, vehicle registration, stolen<br/>vehicles, and other related information in accordance with policy and procedure. The Operational Communication Center is a 24/7 operation. Dispatchers are subject to shift work and must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Background check is required.<br/><br/><em>*This position is eligible for a $4,000 hiring incentive.</em><br/></span></p> </div> <div> <span>Job Duties:</span> </div> <div> <p><span>Dispatches, evaluates, and prioritizes requests for emergency and non-emergency service statewide incidents utilizing a multi-line phone system, two-way radios and a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system<br/><br/>Interviews and documents all statewide callers to determine the nature of the call, location of the incident, other related information and the need for dispatching of assistance using a multi-line telephone system according to established rules and procedures.<br/><br/>Processes the requests received according to procedure; determines as much information as possible from the requestor to enable the most appropriate agency of responsibility and the most appropriate level of response. Determines from phrasing, vocal stress, and provides a proper level of response to the request to ensure the safety of the caller and responders.</span></p> </div> <div> <span>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities (KSAs):</span> </div> <div> <p><span><strong>Knowledge of:</strong><br/>• Department policies and procedures.<br/>• Federal, State, and department rules and regulations.<br/>• Policies and procedures governing security and privacy of record information.<br/>• Customer service procedures and techniques.<br/>• Report writing using the Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD) software. <br/>• Telephone etiquette.<br/>• Radio transmission procedures to produce effective communication between two parties.<br/>• Federal Communication Commission (FCC), City, Department, and other applicable rules and regulations.<br/>• City streets and surrounding areas, including geographical layout of operating Districts.<br/>• Police emergency dispatch procedures.<br/>• Federal OSHA and State and County regulations and City policies regarding safe work practices.<br/><br/><strong>Skills in:</strong><br/>• Operating multiple computer systems, including specialized dispatch communications equipment required to carry out job assignments.<br/>• Operating standard office equipment including a personal computer and related software and demonstrate proficiency to prepare e-mail and time sheets.<br/>• Operating multiple computer systems, including specialized dispatch communications equipment required to carry out job assignments.<br/>• Operating standard office equipment including a personal computer and related software and demonstrate proficiency to prepare e-mail and time sheets.<br/>• Reading a map.<br/>• Google Workspace.<br/><br/><strong>Ability to:<
