Scope of this role covers strategic sourcing, offload / transition management, industrial repair readiness, tactical procurement, material management and customer service & performance levels. The organization has a P&L of ~ $100M and Supplier Spend of $120M. Role requires oversight across 160 repair suppliers, 150 external customers (Operators), 1711 unique LRUs, and execution to supplier contract on 32,325 repairs annually across ~90 Product Support Agreements. Products spans across Air Management Systems, Electric Power Systems, Engine Control Systems, Advanced Structures with support on key platforms such as the 787, A220, A320, and GTF.
This is a hybrid position located in either Windsor Locks, CT, Rockford, IL, Phoenix, AZ, or Miramar, FL.
What You Will Do
- The IATA 1 general manager holds P&L responsibility and is responsible for utilizing CORE in our operations, driving best in class performance, delivering on financial commitments, and ensuring our operations deliver on customer expectations.
- Role has responsibility over compliance in Repair Supply Chain to Collins Procurement Manual, Quality Management Systems, and appropriate Financial Controls (internal and with suppliers). Responsibility of improvement targets for repair suppliers that support IATA I
- Develop and drive key initiatives and strategies to promote customer loyalty to Collins for time and material repairs working across all Collins P&C SBUs. Face of Collins to discuss and present forward performance improvements for key customers such as United, Boeing, Delta, Airbus. Strong collaboration, engagement, and alignment with Procurement, Distribution, Spares Order Administration, & Aftermarket Operations is imperative for delivering on-time to customer. Responsible to identify key actions /strategies that will increase repair supplier performance, drive internal process efficiencies, and promote cost reduction or increased margin to the business.
- Responsible for developing long term strategy and operational direction.
- Drive a high employee engagement culture of respect, empowerment, communication, and teamwork.
- Develop potential successors in the talent pipeline and champion talent developments of the management team within the organization.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

- Experience with Operations and shop management
- Project management, financial, and technical experience
- Experience leading a cross functional team
- Experience leveraging analytics to guide teams, drive focus & identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce cost and deliver value to the business.
- Experience with CORE principals
