Job Summary

As the General Counsel of JPMorgan Wealth Management, you will be a key member of the leadership team, providing strategic legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues impacting business that engage clients of all types through a various platforms – from self-directed, to remote advice to walk-in branches. You will counsel and guide on legal matters related to wealth management products and services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your role will involve close collaboration with senior management and a variety of stakeholders to mitigate legal risks and support the firm's business objectives. Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal team supporting JPMorgan Wealth Management, providing strategic direction and oversight
• Advise senior management on legal and regulatory matters impacting wealth management products and services
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including those enforced by the SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance, controls, risk management, and business units, to address legal issues and support business initiatives
• Represent the firm in interactions with regulatory authorities, industry groups, and external legal counsel
• Provide legal support for new product development, marketing initiatives, and client agreements
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the wealth management industry
• Foster a culture of inclusivity, professional development, and continuous improvement within the legal team
• Ensure the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all legal matters

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 15 years of legal experience, with 10 years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or related areas
• Experience managing a legal team
• In-depth knowledge of securities laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including those enforced by the SEC and FINRA
• Proven track record of providing strategic and practical legal advice to senior management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

• Experience working in a large financial institution or wealth management firm
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a high-performing legal team
