Who are we looking for?

The Professional Services (PS) Operations Senior Consultant, Officer will report to the Global Head of Professional Services Operations and will support the PS organization while identifying opportunities to enhance/improve existing infrastructure so the team can deliver at scale and meet ambitious growth objectives.


Your new team

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

Your new role


As a Professional Services Operations Senior Consultant, Officer you will

Support the Professional Services Operations team in driving efficiency, scalability and risk excellence across Europe, Middle East and Africa Professional Services operations in alignment with broader strategic goals.

Scope of responsibilities:

  • Month End OpenAir process – own successful timely submission of timesheets for EMEA on a monthly basis. Monitor staff time submissions for completeness and accuracy (weekly and monthly), working with relevant teams to promptly resolve any identified exceptions. Execute Month End Checklist, evidencing completion as required.

  • OpenAir Administration – Become proficient OpenAir user in support of all related operational activities such as Project Authorizing Document Review (Statement of Work, Change Authorization, Non-Billable Work Order), Project & Task Set up, Go-Live Monitoring & Reporting, Timesheet Corrections/Adjustments, Active User Maintenance, Project Closure

  • Management & Executive Reporting – support the design and implementation of reporting, analyze data to support actionable recommendations.

  • Procedure documentation, control design, execution and exception monitoring.

  • New Hire Onboarding – own new hire onboarding assistance for global Professional Services team, including PS Email Distribution Lists, PS Operations and Charles River University enrollment.

  • Timely project staffing, including weekly resource demand management, assistance and monitoring of resource forecast/allocation and escalation of resource or skill gaps.

  • Assisting with third party vendor and contractor onboarding and offboarding

  • Ad hoc reporting and projects as required/directed, e.g. risk item remediation, new process design/implementation, system migration, etc.

What we value

  • 5-7 years job related/industry experience in financial services is required

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, required.

  • Thorough understanding of the financial close process, familiarity with revenue recognition concepts

  • Be able to develop corporate documentation on processes, procedures and controls revision [in agreement with direct manager]; ensure documentation exists for all processes performed within the team

  • Familiarity with a professional services construct (time tracking, billable time, etc.) preferred

  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fluent command of English language

  • Strategic, structured thinker. Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Aptitude for framing business questions with data. 

  • Results-driven, organized, self-starter with the ability to multitask. Strong initiative and ability to work independently with a “can do” attitude and growth mindset.

  • Must have ability to navigate multiple competing priorities and timely escalate issues/risks

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel and Word required.  Sharepoint administration experience a plus.
