Your RoleThe Willbrook team is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will support the Missile Defense Agency’s Advanced Architectures Design (MDA/CAD) office, working to define the future of Missile Defense through the development, analysis, and communication of future Regional Missile Defense Architectures. Your role will be contractor support, responsible for coordinating and assisting in the development of joint architectures addressing regional missile defense against ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile threats to protect warfighters and allies. Plan and execute projects involving prime contractors, other MDA offices, and FFRDC/UARC partners. Assist in drafting Architecture Requirements Packages (ARPs) and architecture studies that will explore relevant evolving threats, capability gaps to be addressed, future architecture options, and other recommendations involving missile defense capability, coverage, and capacity. Support the evaluation of future architecture elements and technology enablers that support ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile defense. Assist in the development of top-level architecture needs documentation to support requirements development as well the acquisition of new capabilities and prototypes. - Develop and coordinate comprehensive regional missile defense courses of action (COAs) for future architectures to defeat an evolving pacing threat. Prepare and deliver briefings and supporting data in support of Architecture Requirements Packages (ARPs).
- Assist with identifying, defining, and prioritizing missile defense architecture gaps, challenges, needs, opportunities, and potential system mitigations.
- Develop real-world regional missile defense blue force and red force laydowns as well as intel-informed raid scenarios using a pacing threat set. Develop measures of effectiveness and architecture needs statements and coordinate iterative analysis on these architectures with other CA offices and FFRDC/UARC partners. Document and analyze the performance of architecture options and future concepts implemented in these scenarios.
- Represent the CAD Regional Defense Team in working groups and technical interchange meetings to support communication of future concepts, architecture needs, and data exchange. Provide regular input in support of government leadership to reports and weekly charts involving task status, action item tracking, risks, and schedule.
- BA/BS in STEM field and 7+ years of experience in lieu of the MA/MS requirement
- Minimum of 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems
- Working knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) architectures and concepts
- Familiarity and past experience with the Missile Defense Agency and/or other complex Missile Defense Systems
