Job Summary

 The Legal and Compliance Assistant will provide critical administrative and operational support to the Legal and Compliance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in a global, fast-paced environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing legal documentation, including contracts, amendments, confidentiality agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Support the compliance program by helping track training, certifications, and policy acknowledgments.
  • Maintain document management systems and ensure proper recordkeeping of legal and compliance materials.
  • Conduct initial research on regulatory requirements, industry standards, and legal issues as assigned.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Commercial teams) on compliance initiatives and contract workflows.
  • Assist with preparing reports and presentations for internal and external audits, Board meetings, or regulatory inquiries.
  • Help manage legal and compliance calendars, deadlines, and task follow-ups.
  • Support ad hoc administrative tasks, including invoice processing, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project trackers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a paralegal certificate or legal studies coursework is preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or regulatory environment; experience in the healthcare or medical device sector is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management systems.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Compensation decisions are based upon the candidate level of skill, qualifications, geographical location and experience, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted pay range.
