Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to supporting the team in applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as SAS, Python, and R), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals, but is not the core focus in the role

The Enterprise SF Risk - Financial Engineering - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate on processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques.
- Conduct financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis.
- Conduct review of model business assumptions and analyze model performance data for key financial and underwriting models across the company.
- Develop and enhance analytical capabilities to support risk measurement, financial valuation, decision making, and business performance for oversight coverage area.
- Design data visualizations and non-technical presentation materials to communicate new ideas and high-impact solutions to business partners.
- Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions.
- Perform data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in R or Python programming
- Skilled in Tableau, SQL, Excel and BI Tools
- Experience in single-family mortgage credit risk analytics
- Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
- Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
- Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
- Consultative mindset and ability to work with people with different functional expertise in a collaborative manner to achieve common goals
- Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics
- Knowledge of frameworks of risk management
- Knowledge of concepts in economics and statistics
- Experience with financial models and forecasts
- Experience with automated underwriting engines
- Experience in Regulatory Capital, Economic Capital and Stress Testing
