The Opportunity

Our analytics community has hundreds of analytics professionals across Ally in communities focused on business analytics, data science, R, Python, Power BI and more and continues to grow every day.  We are looking for a dynamic and self driven individual with excellent communication skills and a background in business analytics, and strong logic and problem solving.  This position’s responsibility is centered on loss forecasting for our indirect automotive portfolio and using analytics capabilities to understand key Business Metrics. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, with ability to sift through voluminous amounts of information to pinpoint which items are relevant to understanding Business results.

The Work Itself

  • Manage complex models to forecast key metrics for the Business and will be a key point of contact for the Auto Business’s Forecast, stress testing and loss reserving routines.
  • Analyze monthly results, seasonal trends, and variances; identify problems and research potential recommendations for adjustments to Forecast.
  • Apply sound control processes into daily/weekly/monthly processes to effectively identify, assess, and manage risk.
  • Maintain code logic to query for data, sanitize, aggregate, conform, and produce forecasts for various metrices accurately.
  • Perform portfolio analytics, special projects, drill --down analysis and other duties as needed.
  • Present Forecast and Business Plan to leadership in forecast review calls
