What you will do

The Senior Manager, NA External Manufacturing Procurement – Self Care North America, acts as the primary operational leader governing the capacity, technical capability, and supply readiness for critical External Manufacturing sites. Operating with high senior stakeholder visibility, this role aligns external manufacturing capabilities with enterprise revenue targets, utilizing capacity modeling, cost-control programs, and strategic sourcing to optimize production output, minimize supply risk, and ensure flawless execution of base business and new product launches. This person should also have people leadership experience and will manage a team of buyers to ensure we deliver products from external manufacturers at the right time and price.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion portfolio-level supplier economics within cross-functional teams, applying market intelligence and commercial category insights to build operational resilience, mitigate supplier network risks, and protect end-to-end service delivery.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance service, cost, quality, compliance, innovation capability, and business continuity, while aligning regional execution with global network strategies and enterprise priorities.
  • Lead advanced supplier negotiations to secure competitive economics, manufacturing capacity access, and the quality and service commitments required to optimize plant output.
  • Evaluate capacity constraints, technology limitations, manufacturing complexity, and demand volatility to develop business continuity options that protect product availability.
  • Drive the operational readiness of external partners for NPD launches by conducting rigorous technical capability mapping and ensuring alignment with Kenvue’s quality and ESG standards.
  • Collaborate with internal supply chain stakeholders and external partners to protect service levels by mitigating inventory exposure across raw materials and finished goods, driving sourcing-led service recovery actions for assigned technologies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Planning and Make to align production capacity across critical External Manufacturing nodes with demand volatility, utilizing strategic sourcing interventions to secure external output for the $5B NA Self Care portfolio.
  • Drive supply continuity and cost control programs by actively reviewing external processing schedules, Master Production Schedules (MPS), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) alongside manufacturing partners to optimize plant economics and service delivery.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for EM supply continuity, representing External Manufacturing Procurement in senior-level forums, aligning stakeholders on strategic decisions, and resolving cross-functional supply disruptions.
  • Direct and coach direct report/s, elevating their capabilities in complex problem-solving, supplier strategy, negotiation preparation, and disciplined execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, category management, procurement, external manufacturing, or related fields, with demonstrated owner
