Hygiene Assistant

Description

The Hygiene Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide support and assistance to Doctors, Hygienists, and Dental Assistants in the clinical areas of the office. Help minimize unnecessary wait times in the hygiene bay while aiding in providing quality care to the patient. This is a part-time position is for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares treatment room for patients and prepares patients for dental treatment.
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area.
• Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
• Fabricates restorations; cleans and polishes removable appliances.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols..

Requirements

Education and Training

• On the job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

FLSA Status: Hourly
