Description
The Senior Project Coordinator for Finance is responsible for managing and coordinating finance-related projects within the organization as well as providing administrative support the Corporate Controllers office. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects to ensure they meet organizational objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, project management techniques, and effective communication skills to coordinate across departments and with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee financial projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and adjust plans as necessary.
Administrative Support
- Manage onboarding and equipment for new team members.
- Serve as a business operations manager for the Corporate Controllers Office
- Ensure invoices are processed timely and accurately
- Manage the Vice President's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Assist with planning and executing departmental events, conferences, and other functions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the VP of Finance.
- Draft, proofread, and prepare correspondence, presentations, and reports.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Track project progress against milestones and deadlines.
- Prepare and distribute status reports, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate potential risks or issues to project leadership.
Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop standardized project management tools and documentation for the Corporate Controllers Office.
- Serve as a point of contact for project-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and updates to management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in a finance-related role.
- Proficiency in project management tools and financial software.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience in managing cross-departmental initiatives.
- Familiar with Lean processes or Six Sigma
- Demonstrated experience using leading technologies
