Job Description

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the frameworks and platforms that will be used across the NIQ enterprise. You will be working with a wide variety of tools and technologies including, GitHub, Kubernetes, Terraform, Argo CD, Datadog, Karpenter, CAST AI, and many more! 

Responsibilities 

• Design and build scalable and resilient platforms and frameworks that other teams will leverage independently to deploy and run their services. 
• Work with App Dev and SRE teams to understand their requirements and create solutions that meet their needs. 
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Kubernetes, GitHub, Terraform, GitOps tools and other relevant technologies. 
• Work closely with App Dev teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of platforms and frameworks. 
• Monitor, analyze and optimize system performance and security. 
• Continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and availability of the platforms and frameworks. 
• Develop and maintain appropriate documentation for the platforms and frameworks. 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development or DevOps, with at least 2 years of experience in platform engineering.  
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, GitHub, Terraform, and GitOps tooling.  
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.  
• Experience working with Datadog or other monitoring tools like Coralogix, and OpenTelemetry.  
• Familiarity with multiple cloud platforms GCP, Azure, AWS. 
• Experience with scripting languages such as Go, Python, Bash, or Ruby.  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
• Capable of working effectively both collaboratively and independently, with a team-oriented mindset. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.  
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.  
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or commensurate work experience is necessary.
