As a Security Officer Armed Cycling Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional presence through strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post instructions and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support emergency and routine operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and assisting with security-related inquiries, directions, and/or incident follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
