Job Summary

The Xfinity WiFi Deployment team is responsible for all aspects of deployment of our wireless network nationally, from site creation through install. The Senior Program Manager (PM4), Wireless Deployment ensures the team meets its deliverables, tracks milestones, identifies and works to resolve potential issues.

Responsible for utilizing advanced program management skills and knowledge to follow the organization's strategic plan and lead complex programs spanning multiple organizations for wireless network deployments across cellular and WiFi technologies. Delivers outcomes, longer-term improvements and benefits in support of the organization goals.

Job Description

You will be a critical member of a Project Management team, coordinating with PMs throughout the organization and across divisions to provide oversight and organize deployments, ensuring the team meets its deliverables. This includes survey through install and beyond, interacting with regions post-install to confirm health/maintenance of strands.


Responsibilities:

  • Creates clear executive level presentations to demonstrate program progress.
  • Owns end to end annual plan of record for cellular and WiFi strand deployments.
  • Daily oversight on program health, ability to identify roadblocks across multiple regions and create resolution options.
  • Subject matter expert for regional installation standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for program documentation, including deployment processes, best practices and lessons learned.
  • Regular review of program tools and proposes enhancements.
  • Owns daily deployment collision calendar, partnering with other initiatives across the organization.
  • Oversight of multiple markets during deployment and post deployment support, troubleshooting 
  • Leads efficiencies between markets and drive synergies between regions
  • Creates progress reports for HQ, regional, and division leadership
  • Identifies, confirms and obtains participation from required cross-functional teams. Works with the other team members and Strategic Business Initiative to do this effectively.
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of key goals, objectives and success criteria for the program with key stakeholders and core team. Works with resource leadership to obtain and assign resources to the program plan within the Clarity record.
  • Supports the budget and resource forecasting process.
  • Analyzes areas of risk to avoid risky activities by identifying and managing critical paths and risk areas. Establishes contingency plans and identifies trigger events and assumes responsibility for initiation corrective actions. Escalates early to SBI to determine when to engage senior management.
  • Works with leadership and core team members to help identify and assist in making program tradeoffs to balance scope, time and costs. Ensures proper documentation.
  • Tracks and manages the program schedule and upstream and downstream dependencies. Analyzes the actual performance against the plan and makes adjustments consistent with plan objectives. Works with Strategic Business Initiative to assist in action item resolution and track completion. Ensures program milestones are accomplished and ensures overall committed timelines are met. Documents all major plan changes in scope, approach and date delivery.
  • Monitors and ensures quality of program deliverables. Works with core team and key field resources to develop and monitor deployment schedule, strategies and tools to support the implementation of programs in the field through trials and controlled customer deployments.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Program Management

  • Strong PowerPoint skills are a must; creative ability to use slides to tell a story preferred.

  • ​Solid communication skills, both written and verbal/presentation

  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Excel

  • Coax plant knowledge

  • Flexibility; particularly in areas where new processes are being created
