Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Receiving Inspection Associate is a key member of our Operations team.  This team member is responsible for supporting our procurement, quality, and customer service activities by diligently executing the TMC receiving inspection process which ensures that all incoming inventory meets the company’s manufacturing and quality standards while adhering to FDA guidelines and governance in the medical device industry.  This team member is responsible for reviewing all manufacturing documentation such as material certificates, post-processing certificates, and inspection data as well as reviewing lot numbers, creating inventory labels, and transferring inventory in the Company’s ERP system. They also ensure that part counts and visual and dimensional inspections are thoroughly evaluated for accuracy. Other support tasks may also be required. 

Qualifications

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thorough review and inspection of all receiving documentation (packaging, components, labels and finished goods, etc.) to ensure all product meets the stringent quality requirements of a medical device company.
  • Follow procedures and work instructions and give feedback for improvement.
  • Identify product non-conformances to Company requirements and take appropriate steps to resolve. 
  • Inspect mechanical parts using microscope and surface plate set ups, using standard inspection tools like Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gauges, Bore gauges and various other measuring tools.
  • Effective communication with suppliers to obtain information needed to complete tasks or resolve issues.
  • Assists with scheduling component shipments to suppliers and finished goods to customers. 
  • Collaborate with operations team to prioritize receiving activities.
  • Complete general clerical duties including copying, scanning, and emailing.
  • Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma required; AA or BS preferred. Minimum of one-year related work experience required.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Periodic overtime will be required.

Additional Information

At Treace Medical Concepts, Inc. we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The compensation for this role may range from $87,000 to $130,000 based on factors such as experience and qualifications. As compensation, in addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive bonuses, commissions, or other incentives, as well as access to our comprehensive benefits package. We are committed to equitable pay practices and encourage open conversations about compensation throughout the hiring process.
