Job Summary: The principal duties of this position are to perform advanced inspection processes at Columbus Engine Center. Mastering the use of a variety of tooling and measurement equipment to accomplish Borescope Inspection processes will be required. In addition, the incumbent will be required to interpret technical data in various forms, to validate engine configuration. Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team-oriented environment.
This is a 1st Shift position: Monday – Thursday 5 am – 3:30 pm
What You Will Do:
- Read and comprehend engine manual, customer work scopes, and tolerances.
- Provide complete and accurate documentation to support engine build.
- Meet production and inspection goals and objectives for the facility
- Complete and review technical documentation including fits and clearances, Engine Inspection Reports (EIR), and SAP.
- Complete and review engine package documentation.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1+ years’ experience in engine overhaul and repair
- Experience using borescope equipment
Qualifications We Prefer:
- A&P License or 2+ years relevant experience
- Familiar with Borescope equipment and procedures
- Turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair experience, precision measuring tool usage, preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
