Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our talented team of software engineers dedicated to delivering best-in-class solutions for our dental customers. This role involves advanced full-stack programming for the maintenance and enhancement of our Revenue Cycle Management domain.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with managers and staff engineers to provide technical leadership across teams
- Model and mentor best practices to improve engineering processes
- Communicate and assist in developing architectural standards and mentoring developers in their use
- Craft code that demonstrates expert understanding of object-oriented design, refactoring, clean code, clean architecture, and solid engineering principles
- Follow the Test-Driven Development (TDD) paradigm
- Work with Product and UX Designers to create clean, intuitive user interfaces
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and code reviews
- Mentor team members through pair programming
- Solve complex problems with knowledge, passion, and curiosity
- Partner with our DevOps team to build and support CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications
What You Will Have
- 8+ years of experience building backend software utilizing our technology stack
- Expert-level experience in unit testing
- Understanding of domain-driven design
- Experience in defining cross-team interdependent roadmaps
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy sharing ideas with, and learning from, other team members
- Ability to effectively estimate engineering work within 6–12-month timelines
What You Will Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Prior experience as a team lead or technical lead
- Understanding of Behavioral Driven Development (BDD)
- Past experience converting legacy applications to a microservice architecture
- Experience with Revenue Cycle Management software
The posted range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 12.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
