Information System Security Officer

Key Role:

Review, implement, and manage procedures, and analyze policies, to ensure database and software security. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management
• Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
• Experience with cybersecurity guidance, including strategies and whitepapers, and analyzing policies
• Experience with Vulnerability Management tools, including Nessus, ACAS, HBSS, or Fortify
• Experience with cybersecurity threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities
• Experience with Windows or Linux systems
• Ability to codify processes and procedures, and collaborate with other teams to determine gaps
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree 
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ or CASP+ Certification

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in a consulting environment and clearly communicating technical subjects to clients
• Experience with DevSecOps principles and practices
• Experience with enterprise environments and cloud architecture, including AWS or Azure
• Experience with continuous process improvement 
• Experience with a System Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool
• Knowledge of the configuration management process, including CTF, RFC, and SIA processes 
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies 
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Master’s degree in a technical field
• DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification, including CISSP Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
