SUMMARY: 

The product manager of store systems is a critical role accountable for evolving the stores technology that drives our in-store customer experienceThe individual in this role will have a solid understanding of legacy store systems (point of sale, self checkout, returns management). From that base, they will drive a vision for the store of the future where customers expect a seamless online/offline experience, and marketing/merchandising organizations expect advanced capabilities and analytics. The role will collaborate with multiple teams building capability roadmaps and delivering solutions through agile scrum teams that enable our asset protection, finance and store operations business functions.    Product managers are accountable for real-time ‘high-touch’ business engagement for both strategic and tactical initiatives while ensuring our applications uptime and performance meets the operating need. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Creates and documents a vision for multiple projects delivering best in class Store solutions: Point Of Sale, Self Check Out, Store Mobility and Payment systems. 

  • Document business requirements in the form of Agile stories; groom stories in the backlog to ensure that engineers on the scrum team understands the acceptance criteria for the stories.   

  • Responsible for defining Epics, stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog.  

  • Build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders to ensure an understanding of their business needs and integrate those into the team backlog. 

  • Lead Team Demonstrations of Software product and provide context to explain how the software product applies to business processes  

  • Sets and communicates iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized stories 

  • Develops a strong understanding of the business operations in a domain 

  • Partners with the stakeholders to help drive user adoption of the solution, including development of change management plans, communication plans, training, and user adoption surveys. 

  • Acts as day-to-day liaison between business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical teams 

  • Supports organizational change and training 

  • Describe proposed scope changes to engineers and negotiate tradeoffs between scope, schedule and quality on behalf of stakeholders.  

  • Assist with the release planning, design storming, QA validations and signoff at iteration level across multiple scrum teams. 

  • Proactively and effectively communicate changes to systems (Projects / Minor enhancements related changes.) 

  • Engage with the software vendors and understand the new application functionality that’s being evaluated for implementation.  

  • Communicate critical business-impacting tech
