The Surveillance Sensor Department within Software Engineering is looking to hire an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX.

What you will do:
- Participate in adaption of a large complex radar software code base to new technologies and development tools to realize benefits of DevOps Software Development Pipelines.
- In addition to the integration of the existing code base into a DevOps platform, there will be development of new software functionality/capabilities in order to meet new mission specific requirements.
- Integration of existing build and deployment scripts into yaml based pipeline.
- Traceability and integration of requirements verification into test automation framework.
- Automation of software build, delivery and release flow within the pipeline
- Working in partnership with the Software Development team and SW Test Teams to deliver end to end CI/CD solutions
- Identifying, recommending and implementing risk mitigation activities to reduce cost, schedule and technical risks
- Support COTS/FOSS management to maintain constant security accreditation
- Support tools management and consolidation activities across multiple contracts in the enterprise.
- Mentor junior engineers in technical and process execution
- Support department and directorate level initiatives
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
- Onsite work location: North Dallas, TX [relocation eligible]
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working with C/C++ / Java/J2EE software development and Agile development methodologies/toolsets.
- Must have experience developing and maintaining a DevOps software pipeline.
- Experience integrating and maintaining test automation frameworks, static analysis, software build and CI/CD analytics for embedded C++ and Java GUI application software is required.
- Existing DoD Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain additional special access clearances also required.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Current SAP Clearance
- Experience in large complex software for airborne radars with DevSecOps exposure is highly preferred.
- Git, GitLab, Junit, Google Test, Jenkins, Artifactory experience preferred
- SAFe Agile Certification
- DevSecOps Certification
- EVMS certification
