Description

Shifts Available:
Part Time - 24 hours
Week 1 * 6 am - 6:30 pm: Monday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2 * 6 am - 6:30 pm: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
Verland believes every person deserves a safe and stable environment to thrive with dignity and respect. Our Registered Nurses provide care and support for individuals with complex physical and intellectual challenges. Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:
- Administration and documentation of prescribed medication and treatments
- Assessing the physical status of individuals daily and reporting any unusual behavior or condition to the Charge Nurse
- Assisting with Physician visits developing and implementing healthcare plans for assigned in
- Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), following Verland policies and procedures.
- Document and give daily reports to each oncoming shift of Nursing staff and DSPs
- Develop and implement health care plans for individuals as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
- Attend annual staffing and ITR reviews as a contributing member of the IDT.
- Perform related duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements
- Must possess a working knowledge of professional standards and current nursing trends.
- Must have the ability to comprehend individuals’ records and physicians’ orders and to communicate information effectively.
- Must be able to establish working relationships with other members of the IDT.
- Must be able to document individuals’ care in a comprehensive manner according to professional and legal standards.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- The RN must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current Pennsylvania registration.
- Must have at least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended care facility).
- Must have all required clearances and maintain a valid driver’s license.
